About Event

This 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) is designed to equip participants with essential Linux skills for ROS and hands-on sessions on ROS2 communication paradigms such as Topics, Services, and Actions. The FDP also focuses on robot modeling and simulation using the state of art Gazebo - one of the most powerful and widely used robotics simulators.

Workshops

At the end of the Faculty Development program, the participants will be able to,

• Understand Linux file system and essential shell commands in order to get started with ROS.
• Create ROS2 nodes and implement communication using topics, services, and actions.
• Simulate robot and perform basic control with Gazebo and ROS.
• Integrate object detection (OpenCV) with ROS2 for object tracking and interaction.
